Adult Psychotherapy
Asking for help is sometimes the most difficult thing one can do when you are likely to need it the most. Feelings of low self-worth, depression and anxiety may be preventing you from thinking clearly about your circumstances and may come in the way of your work responsibilities and relationships. As an active participant in your therapy, together we will attempt to better understand your difficulties to make change in a way that will provide you relief and confidence.

I provide individual short and long-term psychotherapy for adults and couples who are grappling with life transitions, relationship troubles, loss, dying and bereavement, as well as gender and sexuality concerns and substance abuse dependency issues. Call and schedule an initial appointment and we will determine if I can help.

Child and Family Psychotherapy
Children and adolescents often are best able to express themselves and their troubles through play and artistic mediums. I am able to connect and communicate with children through these creative means in a manner that attempts to understand and alleviate their worries and fears that often lead to poor self-esteem and behavioral problems. If you feel your child or teen is in having trouble in their self-concept, academic performance and peer relationships, I may be able to help them discover and build their inner resiliency.

Family/Collateral Parenting Psychotherapy is sometimes the best way to improve child-parent understanding, communication, and relationships. I will assess the needs of each child and family and incorporate strategies that will improve a child’s or teenager’s relationship with their family and attempt to improve the family’s quality of life.

I provide play psychotherapy, contemporary family work, co-parenting consultation for children, teenagers and their parents. Areas of focus include: Developmental, emotional, behavioral, and relationship difficulties, as well as family planning.

Psychological Assessment & Evaluation
I provide psychological evaluations for children and adults to discern cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. I am also available to provide psychotherapy and assessments needed for transitioning issues for transgender individuals.

Consultation/ Training/ Workshops and Lectures
I am available for training and lecture opportunities with regard to gender and sexuality issues, as well as child development, emotional arrests, and behavioral troubles.

Fees
Fees are determined by an ongoing appointment time, session frequency and are set after our initial session. I have a few sliding scale session hours available for individuals who will not be able to afford the full fee. Consultation, training/ workshop/lectures and phone contact services are also available. In the event of a crisis or in time of need, phone sessions will be charged accordingly.

People may pay per session or receive a monthly statement the first session date of the following calendar month. Payment is due in its entirety the following week. Though I do not take insurance, many PPO’s (Preferred Provider Organizations) will provide you reimbursement when you seek care outside of your network. In these circumstances, I am able to provide you with receipts and other information you need in order for you to submit claims to your PPO insurance for reimbursement.
